Barrett M82, 99 and 107 are equipped with a user changeable barrel system facilitating convenience for users. The changeable barrel system is one of the finest examples of Barrett's outstanding functional modularity. The grade barrel is fitted with two bolts, by unscrewing which it is easy to remove the barrel. A standard Torx wrench is preferably used to unscrew the bolts in order to remove the barrel.
Usually, the cost of maintaining rifles burns holes into the user pockets. Rifles in the Barrett M107 are designed uniquely so that the maintenance cost be reduced. The logistical burden too is not huge at all in case of these Barrett rifles. The reduced maintenance and logistical burdens add to the user friendliness and affordability of the rifles.
