Aimpoint Sights are highly preferable

There are various aimpoint sight options specially for hunting rifle. The usual options are aperture sights, open iron sights, and optical sights. One or two types of open iron sights come fitted on many rifles. The rifle users need to purchase the other types separately and install them on their rifles to gain additional strength. Aimpoint is a well-known brand of open sight scopes to be used with magnum handguns and shorter action rifles.

Open sight scopes consist of a front sight and a rear sight. The rear sight is un upright metal blade transversely mounted. The metal blade comes with a 'V' or 'U' notch. It is either mounted on to the rifle barrel or secured in a dovetail slot so that the notch is placed in line with the shooter or hunger's eye. The front sight of an open sight scope is shaped as a vertical blade dovetailed and screwed on to the barrel's muzzle end. It is, sometimes, protected by a metal hood that is removable. The removable metal hood is one of the protective features of Aimpoint.
